Kerry is castigated by a liberal Boston Globe columnist for his curious recent claims about his Catholic conscience vs his voting record on abortion. These days Kerry claims to be a complete believer in the Catholic Church's tenet* that life begins at conception and therefore abortion is the killing of a human life. Given this wholehearted belief, the guy has been a pro abortion crusader and was one of about a dozen US senators supporting late term partial birth abortions.

Think about this people.

That's a prima facie example of someone who, if sincere in their statement of beliefs, is willing to go COMPLETELY against them for political expediency. Says a lot about the John F Kerry character, but hey that's not news to anybody nowadays. Is it?

* One could be cynical and say that this newly expressed 'belief' is in reaction to a recent mass movement by right wing Catholics calling for him to be refused communion for being a pro-abortion stalwart in congress, but that would be cruel.
