I think what proves my point about the media is that this is actually considered news.
The fact that almost no Iraqis fled Iraq during the war, and that tens of thousands have been returning from exile for months now, has been open information since combat started. Remember the televised interviews from Jordan during the combat phase, showing the huge refugee tents and facilities, standing empty? The road from Baghdad that had maybe a car on it every ten minutes or so?
Iraqis have been voting with their feet for over a year. Streaming home. If even more are coming in now, that's great.
