Tom, the intelligence blunders the anti-Bush crowd are railing about now are not battlefield intelligence blunders like the author talks about during WWII but blunders that actually led us into war in the first place. Of course, once you're in the middle of the fog of war, having to make split-second decisions, your hit/miss record is going to be abysmal but the bar has to be raised incredibly on the intelligence that leads you into a full fledged war in the first place.

WWII was not a preemptive strike on the Nazis and Japanese. It was a defensive response to imperialistic nations that attacked us first. Have you noticed that your competition on here does not condemn our attack on Afghanistan. I'll bet if you checked you'd find that most of us would've preferred an ever tougher assault on that nation and had Bush kept his focus there he'd be riding a landslide into his second term. IRAQ IS NOT WWII! Get over it.
