I hear you about software testing...it is, to say the least, an underappreciated art. At work, I'm trying to organize a more stringent requirements process, and on the flip side, a coherent testing regimen.
There's one manager at work who can't even seem to bring himself to use the word "testing." He always calls it "kicking the tires," and I think, deep down, he feels it's really only a way for developers to milk the job.
It can be such a long road...
