If that's the reason then these 'leftists' forget the cardinal rule of proper 'leftism': focus on criticizing the economic and social system, NOT nationalities or individuals. They also forget (understatement, LOL) that change and responsibility begin with the individual - boy did they forget that.

They also seem to forget that 'imperialism' occurs and has occurred everywhere, and is not the sole province of the US. For instance, modern European history comes to mind ..

Anyway (as we know) these are just 'lumpen', 'Eurotrash' - whatever. The US, its people and society, has enough real friends all over the world (including people like me, similar to you in many ways and different in others), and should just ignore this rabid anti-American crap. I'd say its visibility is far greater than its significance
