Phil, I can't believe you didn't see that answer coming...

Of course liberals are better, wiser, and more perceptive than the rest of us. That's why it's so puzzling to them that some people don't think they should have absolute power over every aspect of our lives.

Understanding a culture is not the same thing as refusing to judge a culture. As just one example, I think I understand the Wahhabi sect enough to decide that it is not good for children and other living things.

You will notice that for some reason Western culture, unlike the others, seems to be fair game for criticism on almost every level by the Left.

Do they really think leftist academics are kidding anyone with the "tolerance" act? "Tolerance" extends only to those who agree with their worldview.

Oh, have you ever noticed how few leftists touting the richness of other cultures actually live in those cultures? Of all the well-known leftist pundits, columnists and philosophers, I'm having a hard time trying to think of one that doesn't live within a few miles of a McDonalds.

I think what irritates a lot of people is that some leftists sound an awful lot like the thirty-year-old kid who is still living at home, sponging off his parents, while lecturing his dad on what a capitalist tool he is.
