Palin's ignorance of history isn't really the issue here.
The issue is the way she gleefully, publically and obliviously demonstrates that ignorance.
Usually what she delivers is a verbal discharge sprinkled with some key "feel good" words. This time, for whatever reason, she actually tried to make sense. It might be a while before she tries that again.
