OK! To the topic at hand.

Dammit! You're right! The thing was often noisy
That's spruce tree and moose country up there near
Peterborough. It's supposed to be relatively quiet,
except for the calls of the loon on the nearby lakes, and the odd coyotes
or wolves yelping at night.
And I and my friends go and spoil it.

The thing got freakishly noisy when winds
hit over 40mph.
It sounded like a 90db version of a screaming vacuum cleaner.
I should have caught the problem....the six-foot diameter
air-intake is a venturi-funnel for heaven's sake!
I should have known the noise problem would cropped up!.
It's also hard to steer the thing into the wind & puts alot of strain on the twenty foot high tower it's on.
Oh well...Live and learn.
