I am honestly baffled. I feel like someone trying to explain to someone why a steel brick doesn't float in water, and if I can't explain it to their satisfaction, they won't accept the premise that it doesn't float.

Ironically, this whole thread started when David F Mayer made a comment about Arab treatment of women--Arabs--and Bowser hauled it off into an analysis of how wonderful the Muslim religion was for women.

Now maybe it's just me. Maybe nobody else has noticed the status of women in Arab OR Muslim nations. Maybe I'm imagining the whole thing, and Saudi Arabia has a woman president. Maybe the steel brick is sailing happily across the surface of the pond.
