The last few years have been hell on Al-Quaeda in Pakistan. These drone attacks must be taking their toll, and as the tempo, and effectiveness picks up, I imagine they must now be well down the road to despair.

I believe taking out bin Laden had little practical effect, but psychologically it must have been devastating. They probably are feeling now like we did when that 2nd plane hit the 2nd tower. Except for them, they know now it can only get worse.

I keep on visualizing Hitler in his bunker, reading heartbreaking dispatches, moving non-existent divisions around on the map, and the sound of Red artillery a little closer every day. And he knows from the smell on their uniforms that his aides are no longer afraid to slip out every now and then to sneak a cigarette.
