...then say it.

I don't have the faintest idea who you are, and don't know anything about Cowing other than through what he writes, so I have no dog in this fight. I have no clue what the fight is even about.

But what I do know is that it is pointless, inappropriate, and somewhat cowardly to come on to a public board like this and say, "I know dirt on person X but I won't tell you, nyah nyah".

If you have something to say about Cowing that you think is relevant for us to understand and interpret, what he writes, or that discredits what he writes, then say it. If you dislike Cowing for some personal reason, take it somewhere else. If you aren't willing to back up your public insinuations with details in public, then go gossip somewhere else.

You may have a legitmate beef against Cowing for all I know, but what you've done here certainly isn't the way to handle it, and doesn't do a damn bit of good to help those of us who are actually curious about what all happened at the Convention in Chicago.
