You missed my point entirely

My point was not that I want you to tell me what your dirt is Cowing. Frankly, I don't care about whatever fight you have with Cowing and you really misunderstood my post if you thought the point of it was to get you to reveal your gossip.

If it's relevant to his publications, like you have proof that something he says in his book is wrong, then that would be of interest -- if and only if you're willing to make such claims in public. But if its some sort of personal stuff or related to issues between him and the Mars Society, then I don't give a crap.

My point was that I would LIKE to hear more about what actually happened at the Mars Society conference, and I was unhappy to see the thread hijacked by you bringing up whatever issues you have with Cowing. I'd be happy to hear more about interesting tidbits about what the rovers are finding, news about upcoming missions, news about Mars Society lobbying efforts, whatever.

If you recall, you were the one who responded to a general, open-ended question about the convention with a post in which the only real information you provided (other than throw away lines like, "the hotel was nice; Squyres was great") was that you had some sort of sordid gossip to eager to spread, a comment certain to degenerate the thread into a flame war instead of a discussion about the conference.

So please, write away about whatever you found interesting at the convention. I'm listening.
