If it wasn't terrorism, it's hard to think what it might've been
Airline accidents are extremely rare. Every year, there are millions of airline flights around the world with very few accidents. The fact that two airliners, departing from the same airport, could go down within minutes of one another is hard to understand if terrorism wasn't the cause.
It is possible that mechanical mishaps caused these planes to go down, but it just seems unlikely that would take down two airliners within minutes of one another. Aircraft accidents are almost always caused by a chain of events. Break the chain at any point and the accident doesn't happen. With their highly trained crews and redundant systems, most airliners are hard to bring down.
