NPR A Little More Balanced
It reported the more of the mother's comments indicating "the father knew why his son was there, he just snapped". It was grief over the loss of a son not a rational disagreement with US policy. Amazing how a little editing can make it sound so different. I used to laugh at Republican complaints about biased press, because they were all over Carter, and later Clinton. It becomes obvious only in an election cycle when they have a dog in the fight or when a major liberal issue is at stake (ie a war not started by a Democrat or against communism).
