Change the label on the "regular" boy's costume and you have Crocodile Dundee. As for the boys in exotic fake furs, they can be Big Game Hunters. If you don't think that's horrifying enough for Hallowe'en, show it to some PETA members. Their reactions might change your mind.

I took a very good look at the girl's costume. Is it...? Could it be... a flapper? Yes, that's exactly what it is. I've got two of those, one black with silver fringe, and one red with gold sequins, in my closet upstairs. Complete with the headbands and feather boas. The fishnet hose are not exactly period, but do you know how hard it is to find stockings with seams up the backs anymore? And we jazzed them up with long pearl necklaces, pearl chokers and winding bracelets, and ostrich feathers.

The marketing choice -- the naming -- is disgusting, but there's nothing wrong with the costumes themselves. If we don't like the names, we can not buy from them and go to stores with more appropriate labels, and let the market do its magic work. You do think the market will do its magic work and put them out of business, don't you?
