But I'm gratified you listened to my advice. I should point out that when I recommended the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 series six months ago, that was six months ago, when they were new. I can't be sure they're still top o'the line now, after introduction of newer tablets like the Google Nexus. From what I hear, the biggest improvements have been in screen resolution, which kind of boggles my mind, because six months ago they were already so fine that you couldn't discern pixels on the screen.

At a recent family reunion, turned out my brother had bought the 10" Samsung on his own, without my input; and he gave another one to our Dad for his birthday. And my Dad has taken to it like a duck to water. The penny dropped when my brother showed him how to use voice input to Google Maps. He said "Laughlin, Nevada", Google Maps centered on Laughlin, and he was sold.

They might not be the latest and snazziest any more, but I'd still call Samsung a solid choice.
