Telling the truth about Democrats is bound to piss off a lot of them
Zell Miller has been a Democrat all his life. He was disgusted with what he saw going on in Washington when he joined the Senate several years ago. He saw the leadership like Tom Daschel putting the party's interests ahead of the national interest. To an old Marine, that's a mortal sin.
He hit hard. He spoke from the heart. He spoke with passion.
If his speech was so bad, we could expect to see the Kerry campaign or the 527s running excerpts from it. Somehow, I doubt that will happen. The louder they scream, the more likely it is that he hit paydirt.
