Sooner or later Dems will get a chance to kill the entire need to vote on the debt ceiling. It's idiotic to begin with. It's raised not to pay for new spending but to pay for spending past congresses have already voted on, so why vote again? No other country has anything like it and raising it was a formality for nearly a century. Only now in our history has there ever been representatives so unfathomably stupid that the credit of our nation has been harmed.
