What I always find hilarious in stuff like this--and this isn't the first one I've seen--is the premise that the angelic Democrats would never DREAM of engaging in dirty politics if they weren't always forced into it by evil Republicans.
To sell this requires an assumption of a staggering ignorance of political history on the part of your audience. But then, that's probably actually true of her audience.
Kerry's campaign managers didn't deign to respond to the Swift Boat charges because they were noble. They did it because they were convinced the media would bury the story for them. For a couple of weeks, it almost worked.
