Sep. 11 was a big turning point for Hillary Rodham Clinton
Since then she has:
voted for the Patriot Act
acquired a reputation as a hawk for her work on the Armed Services Committee
voted in favor of the Iraq war and against Democratic amendments, and also joined Republicans on several defense appropriation bills
become much more centrist as a Senator, perhaps anticipating a future Presidential run
she has been wise enough to protect her Democratic credentials on certain domestic issues, such as opposing the Bush tax cuts, and last year's irresponsible Medicare drug bill.
