I am overwhelmed with the number of posts on CE and other places sometimes. God knows I'm to blame for that as much as anyone, but it gets hard to follow a conversation. Some new posts on CE are way over on page 2. I'm sure I'm missing some great stuff, since I don't have the time to plow through here in detail every few minutes.

What about a board with limits (not replacing any existing board)? Each person can only put a few posts a day there (maybe 5? Maybe 2? Number to be agreed on.) I have no idea if software can do this, so it might all be moot.

Now, if you want to say something, it better be something you think is important (of course, that's no guarantee anyone else will think it's important), because each post or reply uses up part of the quota. Would be hard on blabbermouths like me. Easier on those who go for quality rather than quantity. But quality would go up, I think.

Just a thought--haven't really analyzed it in detail.
