I would not push this point
Bush also has been saying similar stuff. All it takes is a 1 or more crazed ragheads, and Allah knows there's plenty of them, to do something simple and low tech to cost a lot of US casualties, say at a shoppong center. There is no way ANY President of any party can guarantee our complete safety. What I do expect, no demand, is thet the govt protect us from (a) the big stuff like suitcase nukes and massive bioterror and (b) continuous small scale attacks. It's realistic that a concerted war on terror should have a good score against these.
