The system which put people like Kerry and me in the situations in which we found ourselves was at fault.

And Kerry was correct, no matter how one wants to evade that reality. There were many, many war crimes committed. Many.

For instance, how about Agent Orange dumped on civilians and rice paddies? Chemical warfare. Against the civilian food supply.

And in my opinion there were few war criminals. Some, as in the My Lai massacre, clearly a war crime by any standard, which horrified other personnel who where in the neighborhood.

And, there's a difference IN MY MIND, a bit hard to defend but my belief, that there were more war crimes than war criminals.

And Kerry was right. That's our country. Deal with it or continue to live in a fairyland of Good and Evil, with the US all Good and the ROW good only to the extent it loves the US, with the rest being Evil.
