Well on the voice I agree with you but really doubt that his speeches after the war gave any real grief to the POW's. You might want to consider also that people like Kerry speaking out against the war may have hastened its end. Had it gone on years longer there would've been countless more POW's that had to endure that torture.
Once again you're showing hypocrisy. As with the gun-control debate, the conservative side is that guns don't kill people, criminals do. Well, it's my contention here that anti-war protesters don't cause torture of POW's. It's the brutal and masochistic jailers that would've tortured no matter what the excuse.
Let me state this categorically now. The Vietnam War was a horrible mistake and a war that, had my number gotten called up to serve in, I would've found some way not to participate in, even if it meant relocating to Canada. Luckily, I didn't have to make that choice. By the time John Kerry came back and did his anti-war stuff, the bulk of the youth and a growing section of adults were already horrified at what was going on and the idiocy of our foreign policy. At the same time, I am hard-pressed to hold George Bush guilty for avoiding an unjust war as well.
It's time to bury this amongst intelligent people. Both Kerry and Bush followed their hearts at the time and we're incapable of truly judging their emotions or motivations now.
