Come on now, to pin the huge war protests in the US on any one indivdual such as John Kerry or Jane Fonda or any other number of people that were willing to risk their reputations and the wrath of the government, is a huge stretch.
Did you live through that time? There were violent demonstrations going on throughout the country demanding that war end. I felt very strongly against it and I never heard of John Kerry. All I had to do was see the growing list of former classmates that were dying or blown apart to make up my own mind. We were never close to winning that war. Every military analysis I've seen since then has born that out. The army was having to falsify body counts to create the illusion we were still being somewhat effective.
I'm sorry pal, but you're rewriting history here. I lived through it and the John Kerry's and everyone else that stood up to the madness of those days were just as heroic as the fighters and POW's.
You contend the protests empowered the North Vietnamese? What do you think invading a sovereign country does to an Arab fundamentalist?
Hell if I was to diss John Kerry about anything it would be for being naive enough to sign up for combat duty in a war we had no business in.

So you honestly believe I was a war protester because of Kerry?
