So whatever happened to the Mexican Lights?

Remember the Mexican Lights report of several months back, when a Mexican Air Force crew filmed some lights moving alongside their airplane?

Was it ever investigated further? Was it a bunch of baloney? Or something else? Or is this just another case of the media dropping yet another UFO story?
