It sickens me to see the headlines every day. It's getting worse, not better. What a cockamamie idea to begin with, and whoever invented the saying we were "winning their hearts and minds" is a nutcase.

You can't kill off a whole country, especially when you're in it.
You can't win it over by killing people and bombing them even heavier than before. You can't keep on using our soldiers and our fire power, because there will be nothing left. Not for the Iraqis, not for the victors. Oh, and the guy who invented the saying "mission accomplished" is another moron.

Keeping us safer from "terrorists"? Yeah, just invented whole villages of them, along with their uncles, brothers and cousins.
And there's an open market out there for weapons. They'll even be free after awhile, as this devolves into a live or die conflict with Iraqis trying to boot the oppressors out of their country. Sorry, I meant "occupiers".

There is yet ONE conservative here who admits this project is going well, and that a year and a half and almost 100 billion dollars later, we have barely started to make a dent.
