Annan should read them. The links to the last relevant resolution have been posted many times. It explicitly states severe consequences for continued failure to comply with inspectors and clearly links the previous war with Iraq and Saddams failure to comply with sanctions with initiating action in this century. Annan's failure to demand compliance with his own security council resolutions is exactly why depending on the UN is a joke. Annan was not making a big deal out of the lack of Inspectors in Iraq prior to the war.
So let's see:
1) Annan doesn't care when security council resolutions are violated.
2) Annan forgets about resolutions that validate the use of force.
3) Then he insists Security council resolutions are necessary.
Do you see any self contradiction in these actions?
