Something other than let the UN or France take over? Two beurocracies with huge records of failure and hippocrisy are not the answer. The UN ran after one suicide bombing. They'll sure scare off the terrorists.

I also think the point of most people is not that things in Iraq were hunky dory, but rather that there was much good going on that the press did not report extensively and that Iraq as a whole was making progress. I think the violence is escalating and the cause is obvious. The terrorists want Bush to look bad and get Kerry elected because the Demcocrats have telegraphed weakness.
