There's certainly something that can help you, there.
I'm convinced the Russians are not lying (certainly not since 1989); if there are sometimes interpretation problems, it's something that can happen everywhere.
Once, I heard Leonov making a speech about his past experience and his hopes for the future and was astonished how he changed the stories with time (maybe according to the people around him, his mood and how long after).
Not that it mattered too much. But it's true astronauts of the Apollo era aren't that young anymore and sometimes they don't have an immediate answer to questions about events from so long ago.
