I almost bought my first Weekly World News a month or so ago

The cover was about an eskimo family found living on Mars (surviving on an Atkins diet no less)!

I think the worst the beam would do to a pilot is distract him... The beam is .5 m in diameter, so how long could a person in a jet plane have it in their eye? Really the only way we could do damage is if the pilot was divebombing us whlle keeping the beam in his face... kinda unlikely...
