Why are walls so threatening?

I think the Middle East needs more walls.

Afganistan needs walls between itself and Pakestan and Iraq. The lack of walls has turned the border areas into a haven for terrorists who can come and go as they please.

Borders that are not clearly marked and enforced cause many more problems than borders that are well defined and defended.

Good walls make good neighbors.
