Democratic campaign finance plan falls flat.
The object of the Campaign Finance Reform law was to silence political advertising two months before an election, leaving largely the media, then as now in the back pocket of the Democratic Party, free to push their candidate and wreck the opposition.
Didn't work out that way. Two big loopholes: 527s, which were supposed to be Democratic tools, are working equally well against Democrats. Also, there's the internet, which you CAN'T shut up.
BTW, did anyone notice the convenient timing of the 60 Minutes National Guard broadcast, and the "Fortunate Son" campaign from the DNC?
