Please explain to the rest of us how an additional 20,000 troops on the ground will result in fewer attacks on our troops, especially given the current "one-hand-behind-the-back" engagement rules.
There will be fewer attacks when someone goes into these terrorist nests and cleans them out. Apparently the current plan is to have the Iraqis heading this up in the next couple of months. Not sure that's the best way to go militarily, but I can see the political point. It seemed to work pretty well in Najaf, but that was a different enemy.
