Suppose Joe Blow managed to raise a private army and overthrow the US government, then impose a vicious totalitarian regime, hated by everyone. Now Tony Blair sends the British army over and topples Joe. A few of his supporters and some outside fighters are taking potshots at the Brits and blowing up some stuff. They hide in the towns and cities. Every US family has an M-16 in the closet. How long do you think the insurgents would last?
