The only way to control gun access is to deny it.
The only way to deny it is to take them all away.
The only way to take them all away is to raid every building in America simultaneously on a secretly appointed day.
And there goes the Fourth Amendment.
Oh, but wait: the US isn't the only place that manufactures guns.
So we give up the Fourth Amendment for nothing.
Meanwhile, people can agree that violence like this is the product of a sick mind and a stunted heart, but getting treatment for mental illness still is expensive, and admitting you've been treated is almost as much of a handicap as admitting you're being treated for HIV.
