Titles such as the one for this article expose bias from the get go. Unless I missed a source for the supposed calm comment source, the title is an obvious attempt to discredit those in charge by implying false statements when none were documented. Claims of making progress in Iraq do not equate to calm or even necessarily imply military progress. There are a whole host of issues in Iraq besides the fighting and many of those issues feed bitter feelings that can feed an insurgency so these are not unimportant side issues. The report seems fairly straightforward however, other than the title and is very worrying.
