Indeed, we are far less safe because of Bush's dirty little war
We have unnecessarily exhausted resources in Iraq would have been better reserved for truly serious threats. Saddam Hussein was impotent egotist who spent the last ten years building palaces and erecting statues rather than maintain his military capacity. He was no threat to either us or his neighbors. Now as Iran and North Korea develop nuclear weapons with impunity, we are impotent ourselves to do anything about it.
In the meantime, Osama still runs free.
