Unfortunately these folks enter the quantum world with very limited perception. Frequency relationship is everything. Thinking about harming a leaf and then having the leaf react, does not mean the leaf has consciousness--rather it means the leaf is capable of reacting to signal emissions. All things are so influenced.

Yes, distance means nothing. Consciousness signals are fourth dimensional in nature, the 3rd dimensional world is manifested by the demodulations of these invisible, fourth dimensional structures. The world, the solar system and all these galaxies are all just demodulating energy that manifests from this spectra which transcends and actually forms our space and time. Consciousness is the bridge that can cross these dimensions and is a backchannel to the time-space transfer of energy due to it's frequency and wave-length. It is instantaneous. You made this post and I was led right to it in record time, so I could add my ten cents. Just a sample of this principle of wave-frequency relationships.

The dirt and atoms don't have consciousness--but they do store energy signals and regenerate them. This means they keep records of all things that happen to them. This is why DNA is so comprehensive and why evolution works. These recorded signals are past on in fields of energy. A cat's born with instincts that do not need to be taught. The cat can be removed from all other cats at birth and it will behave just as would any alley cat. These instincts are genetic, but more importantly this gene carries trillions upon trillions of quantum wave forms in it's structure that "tell the cat how to be a cat" and how to regenerate all the various cells and organs. The cells and the molecules which form them are intelligent--in the sense that they carry data in the way of these wave form fields.

It's all very scientific and not at all mystical. The world is just much more intricate than most folks can imagine. Every point in time-space is really connected to every other point, not merely in some universal totality, but in a direct and tangible way in which data and energy can be transferred from point to point instantaneously. Quantum entanglement is just the first baby crawl on this effort to discover these type of things. Much bigger and greater things are to follow.

We are all part of the infinite and 'mother nature.' Mother nature is us and all that is around us. It isn't emotional. The hurricanes and any seismic or volcanic events are not punishment or retribution. It is merely the neverending balancing processes of energy inputs and outputs.

This doesn't mean one can't re-evaluate one's actions and become more constructive ... anything that causes one to be more analytical is good. If fear of "God" or "mother nature" or "Chtulhu the destroyer" can create moral behavior...great. Until the time they develop enough to realize these positive/negative regeneration principles of energy in greater detail, they will have instinctively used that which is handy to sustain them in their constructive efforts to grow positively.

Climbing and striving upwards is really all that matters.
