I feel like I have lived this. Now I know what Arthur felt.

How are the Liberals part of the problem? Posting attacks against the President that are based on opinions, hearsay and downright false information. Also, throwing the same mud over and over. Also Flaming.

You want examples, the CE board is full of them. If you can’t see them, that tells me a lot about how close minded you really are. You, yourself are guilty of flaming on CE.

You say CE is going to hell and you blame it on the conservatives. Until you face up that your side is not helping, and is part of the problem, then CE will not improve.

Going into a room where half the people are conservatives, and start slandering the President, that person is going to get a few negative responses. If they can’t handle that, they either need to get tougher skin, or just not do it. If you take a flame to gasoline, and you are shocked because it flames up, then that is your own fault.

Let me draw this out in a simple outline.

I. You are doing to others exactly what you are accusing them of doing. To fix this problem;
A. Keep all your flames on the flame board
B. Try to start, or contribute to, positive threads on the Zone. It is easy to bitch and complain about everything. It is harder to contribute and build.
II. Both sides are guilty of trashing CE.
A. The Left is posting stuff they know will irritate the Right.
B. The Right is responding with anger
C. Both sides end up in a flame-out
D. If the Left wants to criticize the President, that is their right, but do it in a more civil way, and have some facts or evidence to back you up. And make sure your intentions are in the right place- that you are not purposely trying to piss off your opposition for you own amusement.
E. The right needs to back off on the personal attacks. Challenge the persons message, don’t attack the person.
F. If both sides can do D and E, CE should become a habitable zone again.

Since we have started this thread, I have noticed both sides backing down some, so maybe this thread getting people to think. If so, it was worth it.

Okay, I know none of this will sink in, but I tried. Come and bite my leg off now.
