Rocket-Ship Galileo

Hi All

WHo remembers Robert Heinlein's "Rocket-Ship Galileo"? He wrote it in 1946/7, setting the "trip to the Moon" tale in c. 1960 when commerical rocket-freighters (sub-orbital, of course) were cheap enough to buy second-hand, and the UN kept the Peace via threats of nuclear annihilation, thus effectively outlawing war.

In our timeline jets beat rockets into commercial application, while the "Cold War" killed any hope of a real UN Peace-Patrol. Yet eeriely, some 50 years late, his commercial rockets are starting to look like they might just get off the ground. I wonder if some eccentric scientist like Doc Cargraves is out there with a nuclear-rocket design for a trip to the Moon?

BTW since RSG is one of my favourites (beaten only by "Space Cadet" and "Farmer in the Sky") the review I linked to causes violent disagreements in me, but it's non-commercial. I didn't want to link to Amazon and make this a sales plug...
