Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail -- or: Who's going to watch the debate?

Not me.

All of my idealism about "good citizenship" and "informed electorate" is nagging me with guilt . . .

BUT

-- I don't need the aggravation. I get enough of it here. I will also undoubtedly avoid the inevitable "nyah nyah" threads in CE afterward.

-- The other person who lives in this house is quick to anger, and I don't need to hear that either.

-- Nothing new will be said by the candidates.

-- No minds will be changed among those who watch.

There's already been enough fear and loathing in this campaign. I'm declining to subject myself to more.
