"A year ago, some of the liberals here said it looks like the US wants to make Iraq its colony; No way say the others, the US has no intention in staying in Iraq. No intention?? But there is no intention nor timeline to leave Iraq!! The US is slowly but surely creating its new colony out there."
So, would you describe anyplace which has America troops as a "colony"- Japan, S Korea, etc?
And when there are 10 times the number of Iraqi security forces as there are American security forces will this still be a colony? And if the Brits, Poles, Aussies keep troops in Iraq will it be their colony also? And after Iraqi vote in Jan will it still be a colony? [btw do you have any doubt whatsoever that the election will be held in Jan?- and how would compare this doubt with the degree of doubt you previously had that the Coalition would transfer soveriegn back in June?]
One more note: does it matter if Iraq oil is not being transferred to the US, and that a large chunk of it goes to China [btw, is China another America colony?].
Perhaps, we would have a shorter list if you list countries which definitely not American colonies.
