It's insulting.

My neighborhood didn't have enigmatic scrawlings on the street signs, walls, benches and other public areas until black kids wearing oversized jackets and pants moved in. And then more appeared as kids wearing similar clothing speaking Spanish moved in.

I was at a Saturday market when the topic came up in a group I rode over with. I said that it was too bad the black and hispanic kids couldn't be better neighbors, that it irritated me, and I viewed them all with suspicion.

This is after God knows how many TV programs on black and hispanic gangs and their territorial markings, how those markings are attributed to various sects and factions of those gangs. Black and Hispanic, not so much the Asian here.

You would have thought I advocated slavery, had shaved my head and tattooed a swastika on it and broken out in the Horst Wessel song.

How could I know who did those drawings. Wasn't I a bit hasty in condemning an entire race or races without knowing more? One person even asked how I feel about Jews.

I think they are pious assholes who deliberately ignore reality in pursuit of some version of political correctness, terrified of seeming to notice cultural differences. Impressed with their own tolerance, they refuse to acknowledge blacks belong to black gangs and hispanics belong to hispanic gangs and the illiterate bastards manage to learn some arcane symbolism and write it all over. They can say they have no prejudice. People like me who notice kids with pants hanging past butt cracks and jackets which can hide 3 hams and a live turkey are the cause of all civil strife, and need to learn to give all of God's children a chance.

I suppose one can be too quick with cause and effect sometimes, but not often. And to ignore it is a sign of some affected holier-than-thou attempt at one-upsmanship.

Which doesn't work with me.

Am I "racist"? I dunno. Do I resent blacks and hispanics in positions of authority? No. I'm having a procedure done tomorrow at a hospital by a team led by a female named "Gonzalez". I'm not in the slightest concerned. But I am hostile toward the punks who can't respect the neighborhood.

And I'm hostile toward those who don't acknowledge those are racist gangs defacing our property. They tend to be white. And as ignorant as the maroons who wear oversized shoes they can't tie.
