In other words, that we have had no further twin towers attacks since 9-11 cannot be used as a proof that any of Bush's acts or machinations cannot be the proof that any Bush method or the Patriot Act has worked to prevent a further attack.
I suppose this is true, as far as it goes, although the analogy is not exact. But by the same token, and based on the same data (no attacks on America since 9/11), there is zero evidence that we are "less safe" than we were before, yet this claim is made constantly by Bush's opponents.
