Here is his shuttle design.
He conceived the launch escape tower for the Mercury capsule.
True, this escape mean was not used for the Soviet vostok (nor the Voskhod) but neither for Gemini nor the Shuttle, well for Apollo and Soyuz and it's this very concept that saved a Soyuz crew.
NASA needs somebody like him.
