The Polls Are Clear - But Why Can't We Do Better?

We have two sorry candidates for president that a majority believe are not up to at least one of the two major tasks affecting our country. Bush is considered a looser on the Domestic front and Kerry as a wartime leader. Why do you all think we can't get a candidate that represents the majority will on most key issues or at least is capable of leading the opinion toward their stance?
