I have referred to my personal knowledge, through conversation, of gun owners' behavior, limited to my region. It's not statistical, and not verifiable by anyone unless they come visit me, so I can take them to see the people I talk to for themselves. It's all anecdotal, and therefore not scientific in any way. Yet I consider it valid as a support for my opinion, because it's part of my life experience. If anyone were to tell me I was making stuff up, let me tell you, I'd take offense.
Some portion of ER's broad life experience doubtless informs his outlook. So it is for all of us. Life experience can't be measured statistically. Any more speculation about what that is is just me talking through my hat. ER is the only authority on ER, and if he returns, maybe he'll tell us.

- Most of us really enjoy the way you demolish their BS so thoroughly.

- You're really back?
- Calling someone a liar often triggers an emotional response.
- Not always.
