It often seems that way

Every now and then, a truly original idea like "Shrek" or "Monsters, Inc." makes it to the big screen. There have been many wonderful movies that are original, such as "My Cousin Vinny". All too often, we end up with adapted comic books, endless remakes of other movies, and movies adapted from old TV shows.

I have no idea why they did a remake of "Flight of the Phoenix." The original movie was a classic. The preview gives away the entire movie. Being a hardcore airplane nut, I might rent it when it comes out on DVD, but probably not.
