Yes...the Republican Party in Illinois is a disaster. Keyes is a terrible candidate. To most level headed people he sounds like a Christian version of the Taliban.

It will be interesting to see if Obama allows the partisanship in Washington to change him. One thing going for Obama is it looks more and more like Dashel is going to lose in South Dakota. I think a lot of the partisanship in Washington can be laid at Dashel's feet.

The Democrats definitly need more moderates like Obama in office but I think they are slipping further and further left. Their leadership is bankrupt.
